Ferrell, Arthur Lee
Services for Dee Ferrell, 83, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point with Rev. Don Tisdale officiating. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Dee passed away February 18, 2008, at his home in Wills Point.
Arthur Lee Ferrell was born August 7, 1924, to the late William Thomas and Mae Henson Ferrell. He was raised in the Turner Community and was a life long resident of Wills Point. He joined the U.S. Navy his senior year of high school and served his country for four years. When he returned home, he finished high school and then attended Henderson County Junior College and received an associate’s degree in Agriculture. Dee married Ella Ruth Tarver in 1944, and she preceded him in death in 2005. Dee worked as the projectionist for the Majestic Theatre for many years and he also worked as the parts manager for Murrey Motor Company and retired after forty-seven years of service. Dee also served as a volunteer fireman for the Wills Point Fire Department and was a member of First Baptist Church since 1942.
Dee is survived by his son, Brad Ferrell of Mesquite; sister, Maxine Robertson of Grand Prairie; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Rose Cemetery or Scottish Rite Hospital.
