Services for David E. Johnson, 65, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Dr. Gene Lindsey officiating. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away late Sunday night, February 15, 2009, in a Dallas hospital.

David was born October 8, 1943, in Kerrville, Texas, the son of Sherman Hanes Johnson and Stella Virginia Hollister Johnson. He lived most of his life in Wills Point where he graduated from Wills Point High School. David was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed yard work and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geneva Coomer.

David is survived by three sons, William David Johnson, of Wills Point, Roger Johnson and Daniel Johnson; two sisters, Betty Manning & husband, Dyde Jr., of Wills Point and Nancy Rogers & husband, Roy, of Wills Point; one grandson, Zachary David Johnson, of Greenville; two aunts, Alice Hines, of Wills Point and Gladys Folmar, of College Station; three nieces; two nephews and former wife, Linda Rusk Lovell, of Wills Point.
