Funeral services for Felix Massey, 84, of Wills Point are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Church of Christ in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris and Mr. Butch Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Thursday evening, September 4, 2014, at his residence in Wills Point.

Felix was born July 12, 1930, in the Fairview Community, south of Wills Point, the youngest son of Wyley O. Massey and Allie Belle Martin Massey. He was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and in 1944, he was baptized into Christ. In 1947, he graduated from Wills Point High School and in 1951, he earned his B.S. Degree from East Texas A&M Commerce. Felix was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. On December 22, 1956, he married Dolores G. Pittman in Wichita Falls. Felix continued his education and earned his Masters Degree from North Texas State University in 1965. He was employed by the Grand Prairie I.S.D. as a teacher and later was employed by the Wills Point I.S.D. where he was a high school Biology teacher for ten years and Jr. High School Principal for twenty years, retiring in 1985. In 1987, he was named Outstanding Citizen of Van Zandt County. Felix also ranched all of his life and enjoyed raising cattle. He was a member of the Wills Point Antique Tractor Club, past President of the Wills Point Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow and was past President of the American Cancer Society in Van Zandt County. Felix had a deep love for young people. Over the years he and Dolores provided a home for eleven foreign exchange students. Felix was a faithful member of the Wills Point Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and has been serving as an Elder for the past fifty years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Wyley and Allie Massey; two sisters, Lucille Christofferson in 1955 and Robbie Ernestine Vertel in 2010; two brothers, Howard W. Massey in 2008 and Bobbie Eugene Massey in 2012.

Felix is survived by his wife, Dolores Massey, of Wills Point; son, Chuck Massey & wife, Brenda, of Tyler; daughter, Christy Zirnheld & husband, Dan, of Irving; four grandchildren, A. J. Zirnheld, Ben Zirnheld, James Massey and Emily Massey; brother-in-law, Jim Pittman & wife, Janice, of Wichita Falls and two sisters-in-law, Gwen Thompson, of Florida and Linda Cantrell & husband, Dale, of Wichita Falls.

Pallbearers: Weldon Massey, Ryan Massey, Sam Massey, Ben Zirnheld, A. J. Zirnheld and Caleb Massey.

Honorary Pallbearers: Wills Point Church of Christ Elders and Deacons.
