Funeral services for Billy H. Morgan, Jr., 66, of Wills Point are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the Round'em Up Cowboy Church in Wills Point with Pastor Benny Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away Sunday evening, November 2, 2014, at his residence in Wills Point.
Billy was born February 1, 1948, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Billy H. Morgan, Sr. and Lea Rowan Morgan. He was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1966. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during Vietnam. On August 5, 1989, he married Janet Kay Thomas in Mesquite. Billy was a truck driver for Columbia Meat Packers for ten years and retired from U.S. Foods in Garland, after twenty-two years on September 14, 2011. He was a paint horse breeder and had a lifetime membership with the American Paint Horse Association. Billy enjoyed tending to his cattle and horses. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing and hauling produce to the Dallas Farmer's Market. Billy was a member of Round'em Up Cowboy Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his parents, Billy H. Morgan, Sr. and Lea Morgan.
Billy is survived by his wife, Janet Morgan, of Wills Point; son, Jake Morgan & wife, Lynette, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Donna Shockey & husband, Johnny, of Leedey, Oklahoma and Christy Wilson & husband, Dirk, of Wills Point; sister, Judy McKnight & husband, Greg, of Wills Point; seven grandchildren, Braden McCain, Kyle McCain, Dylan McCain, Zach Wilson, Austin Morgan, Kyle Wilson and Emily Wilson.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Woodrum, Brian Woodrum, Marshall McGrady, Tony Morgan, Dr. Tim Eberhart, Steven Hill and Billy Woodrum
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
