These three pretty girls from high school, Class of '66 grew up to be three beautiful women! This is Linda Earnheart Gober, Polly McCully Cain and Sheila Barnes Barton representing our class and looking gorgeous! But one thing hasn't changed, they are all just as sweet as they have ever been, some of the nicest girls in our class. How fortunate the Class of '66 is to have such great ladies representing us!
****************

Part of the "Elmo Mafia', Mr. Donnie Dodson furnished the music for the evening and it was great! Some of you may remember that back in the 70's Dodson was the local DJ around these parts. He's back in business and if you need a DJ with music from the '50's through the '06's .. he's got it. The only problem he had all evening was that a speaker/amp was placed right in front of the 'teachers' lounge', the table where all of our special guest (teachers) were sitting. Adjustments were made and the night went off without a hitch! He did a great job! Thanks Donnie!
****************

This great basketball player from the class of '66, Charles Cannefax had changed so much that without his name tag, I wouldn't have known him! Wife Martha, class of '68 was by his side and they both looked wonderful! I haven't seen Charlie since the night that we graduated and I can't tell you how good it was to see him again. He was sick a few years ago but has recovered and is doing great! Charles & Martha, don't stay away so long, we all loved seeing you! (by the way,in this picture you can see how the hut was decorated... didn't it look just like old times?)
****************

There were several 'under classmates' who attended the reunion (those kids!) Kirk Evans, Class of '68 and his sweet wife Sharon dropped by to say hello. Sharon said that Kirk said 'why should we go by? I didn't graduate with any of them? it's their reunion' (or something like that), anyhow ... after a couple of hours she finally got him to leave. Seems like Kirk had a little more fun that he expected and we were just glad that they came by!
****************

Here's two great guys from school. # 60 and # 46 on 'the team' ... Steve Steadham and John Shepard. As you can see, even Steve was giving the 'sign' .. the peace sign! Steve did a great job of his commentary of our slide show. Shepard, what can I say? He has cut his hair ... you'll know what I mean when you see the next picture.
****************

Well who is this? For anyone who wasn't around Wills Point when John Allen Shepard came home from VN and got out of the army, this was 'his look'. He was immediately renamed 'bear' and as I remember .. the hair got bigger before he decided to cut it. It was 'his' look and everyone knew him and loved him .... and of course, we still do. The hair has changed but for a while it was pretty wild. Everyone sure enjoyed seeing this picture at the reunion. I will have to say, it was the 'most popular' picture of the night!
****************

Well, there I am with Buddy, Class of '64 and Laquita McCormick Fellers. Seated is Raymond (an Edgewood Bulldog who we let come to the reunion anyhow) and Sharon Warner McEnturff. I don't know what we were looking at but Sharon certainly wasn't interested in it.
****************

Here are some of the Class of '67 beauties (and I'm not talking about Mapes in the background!). These girls were best of friends in school and that friendship continues still. From left to right; Kathy Martin Bingham, Candy Flowers Simmons, Alana Wilson Provence, Sundy Mayfield Rodgers and Jackie Deen Ragland. What a gorgeous group of ladies representing their class!
****************

Here's a fellow that I did not recognize at the homecoming game last fall but knew exactly who he was when he walked in the door at the reunion. Now ... there were many who did not! He has really changed and his name ... Jerry Barnett! Everyone was sooo glad to see him! Me too!
****************

More old friends from school. Sherry Walker Knight, Rosalee Hall Holt, Candy Flowers Simmons, Silas Kennemer and Celinda Covington Anderson. Sherry looks like she was 'all choked up' and just 'overcome' by it all! HaHa .. not really, we had a great time! It was so good to see so many friends from high school!
****************

Here are three good sports ... we will call them 'Three Bored Husbands'! Left to right, Francis Anderson, Celinda's better half, Ray McEnturff, he belongs to Sharon, and Rick Lindsey, Pat Frost's obedient one were all quietly sitting by, letting the gals enjoy themselves and visit with old friends. Very nice men, really good guys but bored, very bored! Thanks hubbies!
****************

Here were two couples who everyone was excited to see. Steve Dewees and his pretty wife Mary Jane (with her back to the camera) and Charles and Martha Kinney, Class of '68 Cannefax. They didn't make it to our 20th reunion and everyone was ready to see these guys! By the way, Dewees found himself a great little wife who is pretty too! They look like a couple of bookends, they just go together. Charles and Martha .. how many years? They looked great!
****************

The big guy in the back was tall in school and in the band. He rides a Harley now with his pretty wife Nancy on the back. They have traveled all over the US on their 'bikes' and even traveled other countries as well. Dan Smith has become a big guy ... in school the heart was always big, now he's just grown into it! And we fell in love with Nancy. They are quite a pair!
****************

Here's a picture of everyone watching the slide show. It looks like in the back, Charles Cannefax, Brenda Truett is in front of him behind the small pics of the youngsters, Jerry Truett (Brenda's bro) is there and Laquita is behind him .... and then there's Patricia Truelock Dophied. Dozing off? No way! The camera just caught her looking down, trust me, nobody was sleeping through this slide show!

Whose the blonde?? This is a great picture of Cindi McKnight Dodson. She made some of the best little pecan pies that I've ever eaten, 200 of them! We were taking them out for breakfast! I loved this pic in front of our little school scene.
****************

This was our 'picture from school scene' that we made for everyone to take pictures in front of. The only problem was that most of the time there were so many people, you couldn't see the scene. But it was great, wasn't it? Nelda Penny Chambley helped us put this together (our cheerleader from 65/66) and I thought it turned out really good! Sharon Evans provided most of the 'stuff' for the scene and Sharon Mc's granddaughters provided the rest.
****************

It was a time for meeting new people and seeing old friends. Here is Sheila Barnes Barton and her husband Blake being introduced to Silas Kennemer. Sheila really has a very nice husband and everyone loved meeting him! I hope that he had a good time!
****************

Here's our Linda Earnheart Gober ... what a beauty! I really ended up visiting with her husband Greg more than her. It just seemed like every time I got to sit down, he was there and I really enjoyed visiting with him! Hope you had fun Greg! Linda looked great and everyone was glad to see her!
****************

Here's a picture of our old friend, Dale Martin. We were all so glad to see him! He didn't make it to our 20th reunion so it had been a long, long time since many of us had seen him. He brought his yearbook from 1966 and asked many of us to sign it which I thought was a great idea! Wish I had thought to do that! Notice on the wall behind him a picture. Cindi Dodson took about 30 pictures to Dallas and had them blown up to poster board size and we used them to cover the walls at the hut. They were everywhere and of everybody! As you can see in the picture behind Dale, some of the 'boys' were not being very nice (Bo Smith and Chuck Allen back in 'the day', boys will be boys) .. but the pics where great and it was great seeing Dale, even if he did get his picture made in front of the 'wrong' place!
****************

What would we have done without our girlfriends who showed up Saturday to help? Thanks Judy Ditto Tanner for helping us decorate the hut. It was just like old times. Sundy, Nelda, Paula, Pat, Cindi, Lee Dodson, Chuck, Celinda, Sharon, Mary ... thanks so much! Hope I haven't left anyone out! If I did, you KNOW Jackie and I appreciated your help!
****************

Here's my two good buddies Laquita McCormick Fellers and Chuck Allen. Chuck watched the food and ate a lot of it, not really, that was a joke ... but it did seem like every picture I have of him, he's eating something. Laquita looks beautiful as usual and like Forrest Gump says 'pretty is as pretty does' and that's her!
****************

Here's a great picture of Mike Smith! You should see his new corvette! It got the award for 'most beautiful!' ... Everyone was really glad to see him and I believe that he had a pretty good time. Keep an eye out for a picture of him and his granddaughters in his new car. It will be on the website soon!
****************

If you look behind Judy, you'll see all of the old pictures that we hung on the wall. They were great and to make it even better, Cindi told everyone to take any of them that they wanted down and home with them when they left. What a gal! Thanks Cindi, those old pictures was the hit of the evening! By the way, that's Teresa Broyles and her husband in the foreground.
****************

Me ... just take all of me! I had a great time! For those of you who don't recognize me, Peggy Vinson Baird. Yep! I was talking to Charlie and Martha Cannefax.
****************

We had soooo much food and it was great! Of course Chuck is at the end of the table watching over it, that's Ted Jones in the middle with his girlfriend (who was very nice)and Dale Martin is on the very end (left). We nearly didn't get him in the picture!
****************

They could have danced all night! They could have danced all night! But none of the guys would! That's Judy Ditto Tanner, Paula Furrh Grokett and Nelda Penny Chambley in the back. Sundy Mayfield Rodgers is out there somewhere ... they didn't need a guy to dance with anyhow! That's big Dan Smith in the red shirt.
****************

Finally caught a picture of Danny when he wasn't looking. His wife Tempy is a doll. Shepard was telling some wild stories that he got away with back 'in the day', I'm sure! I nearly got his wife Terri in the picture (she's in the white) and sorry that I didn't! She's wonderful, don't know how John (the golden leg kicker at the White Deer game) landed such a beauty! These two guys are great, two of my good buddy friends!
****************

Tim Provence did a great commentary of his class and tour of Wills Point in the 60's. He and Donnie and Cindi were having a laugh about something ... should we ask? They sure seem to think something is funny! One more time ... Thanks Tim for doing such a wonderful job!
****************

Here's our buddy Wayne Langford looking great! He didn't get to stay long but stopped by to say hello and we're glad that he did!
****************

Surprise! Surprise! And it was! I didn't have a clue but thanks to all my friends who did this for me. I loved the reunion and I loved seeing all of you! And thanks again for this beautiful plant! Yep, it's me again, Peggy Vinson Baird!
